The Ship's Log O' the Festerin' Boil

Really, we haven't forgotten the blog is here. It's just that Cap'n Slappy and I have been working hard to finish our book by the deadline. Today we sent 14 chapters off to New York. We think they're pretty damn funny, if we do say so ourselves. Still have two or three chapters to finish, plus some other material that we know goes in the book but we're not sure why. No, where. We're not sure where. We know why, because it's funny. But we have to figure out how to work it in. But, that's why they've got editors at Penguin. So we figure about two more solid weeks of work. The book is due out late next summer, and then Slappy and I will hit the road to plug the bejeezus out of it.

SO, we won't be very communicative on the blog for a while longer. BUT, after the first of the year I'm plannin' something that will be a new challenge for me and should be, if not good, at least interesting. Don't want to talk too much about it yet, because I haven't run the idea past Cap'n Slappy just yet.

Anyway, if we don't get to the blog too often, have a Merry Christmas, and don't forget to jingle me timbers!
